The Name "Gaia Star"
Greek mythology provided us with what we feel is the 'soul' of our jewelry. The name "Gaia Star" was conceived through our belief in the "light and life" connection of all things in the universe. According to Greek mythology Gaia, the Goddess of Earth, was born from chaos, that great void of emptiness from which all things were created. She took as a husband, Uranus, the skies and heavens, and is said to have brought order to the universe through her children; the oceans, the rivers, the stars, the trees, the sun and moon, etc. The story of Gaia provides the inspiration for our jewelry, bringing the beauty of heaven and earth together in every piece we make.

The Story of the Owners and the Designer
Gaia Star Jewelers is owned and operated by husband and wife, TJ and JK Ross. Gaia Star Jewelers grew from TJ's love and appreciation of beautiful gems. She has lived and traveled throughout the world most of her life, which has given her the opportunity to learn about many different gems and their origins. Her travels and associates have led her through mining facilities and the final cutting of some of the world's most beloved gemstones. She has acquired a vast amount of knowledge about a variety of gemstones from her personal studies and technical schooling. Through her travels and studies of gems, she found her true love came from the sea, the pearl. She has spent a great deal of time at pearl farms and learning the fine art of culturing pearls. She became so fascinated with pearls and other treasures of the sea that she even started scuba diving so that she could experience their natural habitat! You will experience the beauty of pearls in most of her designs. TJ invites you to share in her love of jewelry through all of her custom designs.
